Please keep in mind that with the Elkskin there may be imperfections in the grain as Elk tend to fight among themselves and rub against trees and other structure causing scarring and damage to the grain side of the skin. Every effort will be made when making your Unique Dog Collar using Elkskin leather that the grain will be as free of imperfections in the grain as possible.

The grain of the Deertan Cowhide on the other hand is quite beautiful and free of damage due to a more domicile behavior of cattle. This type of full-grain leather is perfect for the solid Unique Dog Collars as the grain of the Deertan cowhide is very smooth and uniform. Most upholstry and clothing is made with this type of leather. Unique Dog Collars made with full-grain Elksin come in white and gold colors. Elkskin is also a little heavier weight or thicker leather. The full-grain Deertan Cowhide Unique Dog Collars are available in black, tan, and red colors using the heaviest weight or thickness available.
