These unique dog collars are 1.25" wide at the buckle and tongue made with full grain soft and supple chrome tanned 3.5-4oz Elkskin or 3-3.5oz heavy weight Deertan Cowhide. Clothing is made of leather of this type. Your pet will appreciate the comfort of this unique dog collar while being very rugged and attractive. The gold and white collars are made with the soft chrome-tanned Elkskin. The red, black, and tan colors are made with the soft chrome-tanned Deertan Cowhide. Unique Dog Collars made with full grain Elkskin may have slight imperfections in the grain side due to the scaring and scratching Elk may obtain due to fighting among themselves and rubbing against trees. You can be assured that great care will be taken to choose leather with as little imperfections in the grain as possible. Unlike the Elkskin leather, Unique Dog Collars made with the Deertan cowhide leather have a very uniform and pristine grain due to the more protective enivironment of the cattle.
The type of braid used in these unique dog collars is quite a mystery as the strips are braided inside the collar itself with a result of no loose ends. The buckle and D-ring are heavy duty to complement the strength of the braided collar.
For a more finished look and added durability these unique dog collars have an extra layer of leather sewn on the backside of the tongue with stitching around the edges in addition to being doubled at the buckle and D-ring.
Each Unique 3-Braid Dog Collar is cut, assembled, and stitched by hand to ensure you are getting the highest quality of craftmanship.
